GoogleEarthtodisplayaircraftpositionsovertheGoogleEarthbasemap.Itcaneven
giveyouadynamicreal-timeviewfromtheflightdeckofanaircraftthatyoudesignate.
Directionfinding
PlanePlottercandetermineanddisplaythedirectionofanytransmissionusingasimple
passiveantennaswitch.Thisallowsaircrafttobelocatedeveniftheyarenotequipped
withACARSorMode-S/ADS-B.
Inputsignals
PlanePlottercandecodeACARSmessages,displaythemessagecontentandplotany
positionsonachart.
PlanePlottercanalsoprocessanddisplayADS-BpositionreportscapturedbytheKinetic
SBS1mode-Sreceiver.
PlanePlottercanalsoworkinconjunctionwithCharlesBrain'sPC-HFDLsoftware
(http://www.chbrain.dircon.co.uk/pchfdl.html)byautomaticallyextractingpositionreports
fromthelogfileandplottingtheminrealtimeonthesamechartdisplay.PlanePlotter
addsvaluebycalculatingcourseandheadingfromsuccessivereportsfromthesameaircraft
andplottingthepredictedpositionbetweenreports(right).
PlanePlottercandriveapassiveantennaswitchanddisplaythedirection
(QDM)ofanyaircraftvoicetransmission.
